Birth Record By Mail
As with birth and death records, there are two types of marriage certificates issued, an Authorized copy and an Informational copy. For more detailed information or instructions on ordering see Information Sheet or Applications. You may obtain a certified copy of a birth, death or marriage certificate in person from our Riverside Gateway , Riverside Downtown , Hemet, Palm Desert, Temecula or Blythe offices.
You will obtain your copy the same day provided the certificate has already been recorded. Please include the appropriate fees, all required information, and the complete address to which you would like the copy mailed. Riverside County Assessor-County Clerk-Recorder does not accept credit cards or online orders; however, for your convenience, you can process online requests through an independent company that we have partnered with to provide you this service; VitalChek Network, Inc.
The authorized requestor's name must match the name on the credit card billing address, and the credit card billing address must match the mailing address on file with your official government identification issuing agency. Other internet vendors are not authorized by Riverside County and may charge additional fees without providing County-approved services.

One of the main goals for genealogists is finding birth, marriage, and death BMD information about their ancestors. These searchable indexes provide specific BMD information, and sometimes scanned images of the actual birth, marriage, and death certificates themselves.

Note 1 : Many of the links listed below take you to a FamilySearch Collection of digital images. If there is a camera icon at the right of the name in the Format column then the collections' images are browsable.
If there is a camera with a key icon, it is only available at a Family History Center or affiliated library. If there is a film reel icon, then it is only available in microfilm format, not digital. You do not need a subscription, but do need an Ancestry account.
Without a subscription you can view indexes. If there is an image associated with a record, in most cases you will need a subscription, but the index does include very usable information. Joan Doyle. Kenneth R Marks.
